This is a Part Time Job
Provide customer service support to House Manager for programs and events at the JCCSF. Take responsibility for the safety and comfort of event guests and for front of house operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration:
Facilitate the implementation of front of house procedures before, during and following performances including show protocols, safety rules, late seating policies, signage, house lights and air handlers, staff and volunteer supervision, customer service, and other duties as required.
Maintain materials needed need for front-of-house (signage, flashlights, flyers) for JCCSF
Support the vision and the Mission of the JCCSF.
Assistant House Management:
Attend to any audience member needs alongside the House Manager
Enforce Arts & Ideas and JCCSF guest/audience member policies for the theatre
Understand, execute, enforce and be a first responder alongside the House Manager according to the security protocols as outlined and provided for high security and/or large events
Coordinate performance, seating, and late seating with box office, front desk, facilities, stage manager and production booth.
Train and supervise Volunteer Ushers for events.
Report show activity on House Manager's report form, including any problems that occurred. Submit report to appropriate supervisor and department.
REQUIREMENTS
Two years or more theatrical front of house experience
Windows Computer and database proficient (word, Salesforce, SmartSheets, email)
Professional attire
CPR certification recommended
Satisfactorily complete safety orientation and customer service training
Excellent communications and coordinating skills
Outstanding devotion to customer service
Superior problem-solving abilities
Diligent attention to detail
Cool under pressure, patient and able to work with a variety of personalities
Must have physical stamina; able to stand and walk for several hours.
STATUS: Hourly, non-exempt. Collective bargaining unit position.
CLASSIFICATION: Admin 3.
HOURS: As assigned to work events as needed during the programming season. Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays - with flexible schedule.
