Jemel McWilliams is currently seeking an Executive Assistant to oversee operational, procedural and administrative functions in this multi-faceted company. Jemel McWilliams is CEO of an innovative company that operates in a creative and entertainment realm consistent with changing and diverse markets. In addition to ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly for video shoots and live performances, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for streamlining processes for efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience and an understanding of the production process from beginning to end (casting, treatments, booking venues, live performance management, etc). This candidate should consistently be motivated, disciplined and ready to exceed high expectations for a company that's on the move. We are seeking a person who is a visionary with a proven track record, and who will be motivated to help steer the company to its growth potential financially and professionally. This is a great fit for someone with experience in growing a successful small business, and has knowledge of business structure, regulations and strategy. This role will also be responsible for handling many administrative aspects of both the business and the CEO of the company. The current staff of Jemel McWilliams consists of a small team of dedicated individuals that possess the mindset of ''no task too small'' and great outcomes will prevail. We are hoping to fill this position with someone of an equivalent mindset.
Responsibilities:
Management of the overall creative process for shoots and live performances.
Managing/ overseeing the casting process for music/entertainment performances.
Booking dance studios, photo/video shoot locations, and other venues as needed.
Review the company's processes and strategize cost-effective ways to improve
Create and improve upon systems, best practices and procedures.
Work with the CEO to launch small businesses that are profitable and fully compliant with all regulations.
Focus on the growth and expansion of the company for marketable opportunities.
Day to day management of the operational schedule.
Work in tandem with the Personal Assistant.
Consistently research and create new revenue streams for the company.
Manage budgets and forecast growth.
Track, monitor and report KPIs.
Handling a range of clerical and organizational tasks to include, but not limited to drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, creating and maintaining filing systems, bookkeeping, etc.
Adhoc tasks as needed.
Skills:
Previous experience in the music/entertainment industry and working with live performances is highly preferred.
Must have experience developing and growing businesses
Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for business expansion
Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
Excellent communication skills.
Outstanding organizational skills
Degree in Business, Operations Management or comparable concentration required.
Familiarity with business principles, business regulations/compliance, and financial principles
Experience maintaining a budget and forecasting business growth.
Valid passport required.
Familiarity with Asana or willingness to learn.
Looking to start ASAP.
