Our exclusive app functions as a social network and marketplace, connecting verified and active music professionals to gigs, collaborations, and opportunities. School Gig, a subsidiary of Jammcard, is on a mission to revolutionize arts education by bridging schools and districts with passionate music and arts educators. With funding from Proposition 28, we aim to recruit 15,000 artists to enrich California's public school system.
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial-minded Head of Marketing to spearhead the marketing efforts for the School Gig platform. School Gig connects schools and school districts that are looking to hire artists, with artists of all sorts (music, dance, film, theater, visual arts, performing arts & computer programming). The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a go to market strategy for School Gig that focuses on getting the opportunity out to artists, writing copy that communicates effectively to artists, creating and executing all marketing initiatives, strategies, and campaigns across both platforms, utilizing the Jammcard team, independent contractors and AI. This is a unique opportunity to lead marketing efforts within a dynamic startup environment where your contributions will directly shape the future of arts education.
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for School Gig, aligning with company goals, brand identity, and target audiences. With a main focus on the artist side of School Gig, and a secondary focus on the school side.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand product offerings, value propositions, and customer needs to tailor marketing initiatives effectively.
Create, manage, and optimize engaging and persuasive digital marketing campaigns, including online and offline channels, to drive user acquisition, engagement, and brand awareness.
Lead the creation of compelling marketing collateral, including website content, digital ad material and campaigns, blog posts, social media content, email campaigns, videos, and more.
Analyze marketing performance metrics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide data-driven insights to refine strategies for continuous improvement.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
Cultivate partnerships and collaborations within the arts industries, educational sector, and related domains to amplify marketing efforts and achieve strategic objectives.
Previous experience working in a startup environment
Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, with a proven track record of success in digital marketing, brand building, and campaign management.
Strong understanding of both B2B and B2C marketing strategies, with a passion for music, arts, and education.
Proficiency in leveraging various marketing channels, including social media, content marketing, email marketing, SEO, SEM, and influencer collaborations.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for storytelling and connecting with diverse audiences.
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
