Full Time Job
This position is based in Los Angeles and reports to the English Recording Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starting individual who can work independently as well as within an established team. The Editing Engineer will provide start-to-finish editing and audio engineering services in order to manage, create and deliver audio deliverables for Broadcast, Multimedia and DVD clients.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
· Edits ADR in Pro Tools for delivery to client or engineers. Removes all noise and irregularities; ensures dialogue lip sync and timing.
· Assists Recording Engineers with any project needs.
· Consolidates Recording Sessions nightly.
· Prepares recording and mixing sessions by setting up tracks based on preferences of the Engineer.
· Creates Quicktime screeners of works in progress for client approval/notes.
· Prepares voice samples for casting.
· Responsible for preparing rooms for sessions and maintaining the overall studio appearance.
· Evaluates the quality of Mixes and/or ADR sessions and generates QC Reports.
· Performs quality control checks of received assets to make sure they meet the correct specifications.
· Troubleshoots and corrects reported issues with source assets and previously delivered work to client.
· Conforms Pro Tools sessions to revised media.
· Documents internal processes for consistency and efficiency.
· Understands and stays current with all SDI workflows, updates and tutorials.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Must be able to work flexible hours when and if needed.
Must be able to demonstrate:
· Highly developed Pro Tools skills, including a strong background and understanding of audio post production and file management and organization.
· Understanding of Post Production/Dubbing workflows, formats and requirements.
· Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.

Qualifications and Experience
· At least 2 years of experience in Audio Engineering (Recording, Editing and/or Mixing).
· Degree in Audio Post-Production or related field desired.
· Experience with both Mac and PC environments, ProTools, Microsoft Office (including Excel).
· Understanding of audio and session formats and specifications (.wav, .mp3, .ptx, .omf,…).
