Spring Intern - Television Development
Ish EntertainmentNew York, NY
Part Time Unpaid Internship
Ish Entertainment is seeking interns for 2-3 days a week. We develop and produce and non-scripted television, scripted television, feature-length documentaries, as well as digital content.
Primary responsibility of our interns will be to assist in research and development of projects, support the production staff on set, and help with pre-production responsibilities. Our interns may also be asked to assist the post production department, working with the post manager and coordinator to help with work flow, learn about the post production process from ingestion to exporting, and to support the team with the deliverables of projects.
The internship will also provide a 13-week lesson plan (classes bi-weekly) for all interns that will cover all aspects of television production for both scripted and unscripted projects, from development to production to post-production. The curriculum will include lectures from guests and internal discussions, culminating with the intern pitching an original idea to the CEO and Vice President of Development at Ish.
We ask that our interns be bright, organized, motivated, professional, have a passion for film and television, and a willingness to learn. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Final Draft are not required but helpful. The purpose of this internship is NOT for our interns to provide free labor and fetch coffee. Instead, we are committed to having our interns learn about the entertainment industry and receiving the tools and knowledge that will help find employment in the future.
Applicants are REQUIRED to obtain school credit for this internship.

There's no ''average'' day for us as a business and so, there isn't an ''average'' day for our interns either. Interns can expect to do a lot of research for existing show ideas, brainstorm new ones, help with production paperwork, assist on set, provide coverage for scripts, provide feedback for cuts of shows, etc.
