Ish Entertainment is a New York City based TV Production company started by Michael Hirschorn. Prior to founding Ish, Michael was the head of programming at VH1. Since starting Ish, we've done programming for VH1, MTV, Showtime, Oxygen, Lifetime, OWN, WEtv, YouTube, and a host of other networks, clients, and digital platforms. Our most recent projects include ''Jim and Chrissy: Vow or Never'' for WEtv, ''Money and Violence'' for Lionsgate, and a feature length documentary for Showtime.
We are seeking Post Production interns for 2-3 days a week.
Primary responsibilities of our interns will be to assist in the post production department, working with the post manager and coordinator to help with work flow, learn about the post production process from ingestion to exporting, and to support the team with the deliverables of projects.
The internship will also provide a 13-week lesson plan that will cover all aspects of television production for both scripted and unscripted projects, from development to production to post-production. The curriculum will include lectures from guests and internal discussions, culminating with the intern pitching an original idea to the CEO and Manager of Development of Ish.
We ask that our interns be bright, organized, motivated, professional, have a passion for film and television, and a willingness to learn. Applicants are REQUIRED to obtain school credit for this internship.
Please email cover letter and resume. Working knowledge of Avid, Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects, and Excel is not required but helpful.
Salary: Unpaid (School Credit Only)
Hours: 10:00am - 6:00pm daily (with a half hour lunch break)
Days: 2 to 3 days per week
