JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Ingest, preview, and verify file transfers of on-air content to multiple remote stations.
•Monitor all assigned station return feeds to ensure quality and continuity.
•Effectively communicate and troubleshoot all outages/issues as needed.
•Cross reference traffic schedules against asrun logs to ensure accuracy and timing.
•Monitor playlist elements to ensure that they will be ready for transmission at required time. Follow up by reporting missing items. Identify and report programming discrepancies.
•Answer, direct, and/or respond to emails and occasional phone calls.
•Ensure that all ingest/monitoring/server equipment is operational and notify the proper personnel if it is not.
•Adhere to company policies and procedures including corporate guidelines and best practices.
•Maintain a clean work area.
•Handle other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
•Technical school training preferred, High school diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Must have a global understanding of general television station and network operation workflow, from reception of content to air.
•Ability to proactively identify problems and troubleshoot before affecting air.
•General understanding of various broadcast video and file formats.
•General knowledge of FTP and Windows OS terminology.
•Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
•General knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
•Ability to type 25 or more words per minute.
•Work well under pressure.
•Organized and self-motivated.
•Ability to follow instructions, work independently and be part of a team.
•Excellent written and verbal communication/documentation skills.
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to write routine correspondence.
•Must have flexible work schedule to work anytime in a 24/7 operation (nights, weekends, holidays).
