Interloper Films, the small but rugged production company of two-time Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning Director/Producer Ondi Timoner (DIG!, WE LIVE IN PUBLIC, JOIN US, BRAND: A Second Coming, COOL IT, and MAPPLETHORPE) is seeking interns to work on a variety of projects including feature-length documentaries. This internship will provide experience in all aspects of filmmaking, from pre-production, through production to editing, self-distribution, and marketing.
We are open to considering candidates interested in a variety of areas including general office interns, social media, web design, business, editing (knowledge of AVID a huge plus!), technical/camera and much more! We are also searching for story-oriented candidates. Please specify your area of focus in your cover letter. Tremendous opportunity to network and learn about filmmaking and documentary. We are looking for candidates who are responsible, resourceful, diligent and self motivated! Interns will work from our Pasadena & Altadena offices 2-3 times a week. We quite often hire people who start as interns. Looking for people who can start ASAP! School credit available/preferred.

Interloper's most notable short films include: Recycle (2005), Library of Dust (SXSW 2011), Amanda F***ing Palmer On The Rocks (TriBeca 2013), Obey The Artist (SXSW 2014), RUSSELL BRANDS THE BIRD (2014), The Last Mile (SXSW 2015). Timoner has directed music videos for The Jonas Brothers, The Vines, OK GO, DMC, The Dandy Warhols, & many more.
Every Interloper Film released has garnered award recognition. Ondi's career began with a Grammy nomination for Best Long-Form Video (''Fastball: They Wanted the Highway'') & has since been recognized with the following career achievement awards: The Rogue Award (Ashland Film Festival, 2015), The No Limits Award (Sarasota Film Society, 2015), The Auteur Award (Kodak, 2017), and the Maverick Award (The Audience Awards, 2017).
Interloper Films produced Sound Affects, a VH1 series about music's affect on people's lives. The company produced the talk shows BYOD (Bring Your Own Doc), creating 300 episodes with top documentary filmmakers, & WeTalk, a traveling live event bringing together women shaping culture across arts, entrepreneurship, government & technology for conversation and change. Interloper also released A TOTAL DISRUPTION, online shorts & classes dedicated to telling stories of entrepreneurs & artists using technology to innovate the way we live. Subjects included Shepard Fairey, Amanda Palmer, Moby, Jack Dorsey (Twitter), Kevin Systrom (Instagram), Alexis Ohanian (Reddit), and Reid Hoffman (Linked In).
Interloper Films is currently wrapping a feature that explores the intersection of finance, media & extremism to discover the explosive & irreversible ramifications of our digital future, and is in production on a feature about Ondi's sister, Rabbi Rachel Timoner, and her Congregation Beth Elohim's collaboration with Rev Robert Waterman & his Antioch Baptist Church to combat racism and anti-semitism. Ondi is a member of the DGA, PGA, WGA and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Science.
