THE ROLE
The Manager, FP&A will be responsible for providing dedicated analytical support and providing both high level and detailed analysis of departmental operational and financial performance. This is not a fully remote position and will require you to travel periodically to be onsite at our events and be present in-office at our Calabasas, CA location 2 days per week at minimum. This role reports to the Director, Festival Financial Planning & Analysis. This is not a fully remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
REPORTING
• Manage all aspects of project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, actuals, and variance analysis as it relates to assigned events
• Review final settlement of events, including settlement of department costs, venue settlements, event labor, and other related parties and record estimates and actuals
• Collaborate with Manager, Revenue & Ancillaries, Production/Operations Departments, and other key stakeholders to complete annual budget and monthly and quarterly forecast packages
• Ensure timely and accurate plans, budgets, forecasts and settlements per the event schedule and corporate reporting needs
• Develop/utilize model that is less manual and more strategic through the adoption of various tools, including the EPM Jedox
PARTNERING/COLLABORATION
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all festival production and finance teams through
• understanding of their purpose and objectives
• Produce event budgets and forecasts for festival production expenses, cash flow and variance analysis
• Facilitate/attend regular meetings with production and finance teams to review the status of budgets, forecasts, projects status, and settlements
• Make recommendations for improvement including revenue opportunities and any cost savings/ cost avoidance initiatives
• Partner with production teams to evaluate festival event requirements for planning, budgeting, and forecasting production revenue and expenses. Communicate significant financial impacts with the production/operations teams and management in a timely manner
• Partner with procurement to ensure vendor bids reflect the best pricing/service and spending is aligned with project budgets/forecasts'
• Provide guidance about the budget process, cycles, and procedures to ensure needs are met in a timely and customer-focused manner
• Partner with production teams to communicate any changes in scope and/or cost overruns
• Develop budget and forecast standards and best practice across all teams
• Responsible for on-going enhancements and training on the budgeting process and workshops
• Travel to events and perform on-site finance and accounting operations (as needed)
• Assist with special projects as assigned, including new initiatives implementation
• Recruit, train and onboard members on the team both directly and partnering teams
• Other special projects and tasks as assigned as needed
• Periodic frequent travel may be required (economy)
COMPLIANCE
• Audit all co-promoter settlements for events where Insomniac is the secondary co-promotion

• Ensure adherence to established corporate policies and procedure
• Review and apply appropriate accounting rules and procedures to recognize event costs
• Maintain adequate support for all project transactions and provide audit backup as needed
• Review and approve invoices to ensure accuracy, proper project coding and allocations
• Facilitate training and communication across internal and external partners
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
• 4+ years of extensive relative financial experience: Live Events/Experiential finance experience strongly preferred, Entertainment Industry experience a plus
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen including experience building financial models and reports working with data, managing forecasting, budgeting processes from start to finish
• Experience in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes within a large public company
• Professional demeanor and very strong communication skills
• Advanced technical skills, including Excel and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP and add on reporting software
• Exhibit exceptional critical-thinking and problem-solving ability
• Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Periodic travel is required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• May work in drastic temperature climates working on site at our events
• Must be willing to travel to work during evening, holiday and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines

Hiring Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 USD
