Part Time Unpaid Internship
Insignia Films (dir. Stephen Ives) is seeking an intern with serious interest in documentary film, history, and/or journalism. Interns must be able to receive school credit.
This is a great opportunity for students looking to get practical experience in PBS-style documentary film and see what goes into producing documentaries in general. Interns will be involved with project research, production planning, assisting on set on production days, and assisting with post production & archival research, among other areas. We are also open to shaping the internship around your interests.
Previous Insignia Films productions include the landmark PBS series The West and Reporting America at War, as well a four part series for TPT, Constitution USA with Peter Sagal and many more films for the WGBH series American Experience, including Roads to Memphis, Las Vegas, Seabiscuit, Custer's Last Stand, Grand Coulee Dam, 1964, The Big Burn, and a three part series on WWI that aired on PBS earlier this year.
We are currently in development on a number of projects, one being about Universal Basic Income (UBI), the dancer and choreographer Alvin Ailey, American Veterans, and more.
We're looking for someone to come once a week on Friday's (May 31 - mid August) and we offer a daily stipend of $20 and course credit where applicable. Applicants must be current undergraduate and/or graduate students.
Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your interest. We look forward to hearing from you.
