Under the direction of the owner, this position manages the ongoing and day to day activities/functions necessary to support all scheduled events from start to finish. This includes, but is not limited to, coordination with the owner, office manager, project manager and various vendors to ensure proper set up/tear down; installation; maintenance of A/V and IT equipment; management of the staff's needs; and development of policies and procedures.
*Areas of Responsibility:
-Books events/shows. This includes design and installation for each
-Coordinates with the A/V crew, office manager, and the owner to assign staff for all events/shows
-Monitors crews and on-site activity
-Ensures that all work complies with company policies, procedures and standards
-Verifies that all staff maintain proper safety practices
-Coordinates with the warehouse manager to ensure all A/V equipment is in full working order
-Remains current on all A/V technological advancements to identify the need for equipment upgrades and replacements
-Generates purchase orders to request equipment and product needs
-Attends management and customer/vendor meetings as required
-Provides exceptional customer service
-Performs other duties relative to the job, as assigned by the owner
*Required Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 5 years A/V experience in a management position. Knowledge of FOH; monitor mixes; set up and tear down of lighting, sound and production equipment. Must have experience in creating budgets, managing staff and scheduling.
The GM must exude professionalism and confidence, be disciplined, detailed oriented, have superior customer service skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. He/she must have excellent time management skills and be able to interact with coworkers, clients, office staff, and management in order to deliver a quality product.
*Physical and Other Qualifications:
-While performing the duties of this job, the GM must be able to stand, kneel, and/or crouch for periods of time; climb ladders and scaffolding; work in high and low-cramped places: and lift and/or move at least 50 lbs.
-Must have a flexible schedule. This position requires days, nights, and weekends and may require long hours and out of town stays.
-Must have a valid DL and own vehicle
-Pay Negotiable
