We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and strategic Social Media and Communications Coordinator to support the execution of both social media and external communications strategy for our talent agency. This unique role blends content ideation and execution with high-level strategy across all platforms, merging social media, marketing and corporate communications.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong grasp of digital media trends, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of the entertainment industry and the talent agency ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of social and traditional media, shaping the voice and public image of a leading talent agency. The candidate will assist with how our brand is seen, heard, and experienced by key audiences including clients and potential clients, current and prospective employees, and key industry executives.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy & Execution
• In conjunction with Executives and external publicist, you will assist with the development and implementation of social media strategies that reflect the agency's brand, voice, and objectives;
• Create content calendars in partnership with senior leadership and an external publicist;
• Generate ideas and create/post engaging content across social media platforms;
• Monitor platform trends, analytics, and engagement to optimize performance;
• Coordinate asset approval processes, including clips, rights, and photo permissions;
• Act as point person for internal and external communications regarding social media presence.
Communications & Press Coordination
• Support agency press and media efforts, maintaining fact sheets, bios, talking points, and key collateral in organized and systematic process;
• Liaise with external publicist to coordinate press releases, feature stories, and other media opportunities to enhance visibility for agency;
• Ensure consistency and alignment across all public-facing messaging;
• Track press hits and media mentions, including rapidly pulling story coverage and circulating to key leadership, and maintain media contact lists;
• Proactively and consistently monitor industry trends and flag key press articles for communications team and agency senior leadership, including formulating and sending weekly industry news compilation.
Collaboration & Oversight
• Work with external publicist, senior leadership, and the agency team to ensure integrated messaging across all platforms;
• Help uphold brand voice, tone, and visual identity across communications content;
• Maintain high sensitivity to timing and confidentiality, especially around talent-related announcements and media campaigns.
Requirements:
• 2+ years' experience in social media, communications, or a related role in entertainment or adjacent industries;
• Understanding of the entertainment ecosystem, particularly agency and talent representation;
• Strong copywriting, storytelling, and content creation skills;
• Ability to navigate approvals, rights, and permissions;
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment;
• Experience working with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams;
• Proficiency in social media scheduling and analytics tools;
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite);
• Existing media and influencer relationships a plus, as is working knowledge of key industry trades and specialty media.
