Commercial Agent - Production Department

Innovative Artists Entertainment is seeking an experienced and motivated Agent for its Production Department to represent and grow a roster of established and emerging talent working behind the camera. This individual will focus on representing award-winning producers, cinematographers, production designers, costume designers, assistant directors, visual effects professionals, and film and television editors.

The ideal candidate brings an established network of industry relationships, a strong understanding of the production landscape, excellent negotiation skills, and a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities that advance clients' careers. This role requires a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to talent representation, with an emphasis on building relationships with studios, production companies, networks, streaming platforms, independent producers, and other key decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage, develop, and strategically grow a roster of production talent across film, television, streaming, and related entertainment sectors.

* Identify, pursue, and secure new representation opportunities while expanding the agency's presence and relationships within the production community.

* Negotiate client deals, compensation, contracts, credits, and other employment terms to maximize opportunities and protect clients' professional interests.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with studio executives, producers, production companies, directors, showrunners, casting professionals, and other industry decision-makers.

* Collaborate with colleagues across departments to connect clients with projects, facilitate introductions, and support the development and packaging of film and television productions.

* Develop individualized career plans for clients, identifying strategic opportunities, emerging markets, and long-term professional growth potential.

* Monitor industry trends, production slates, staffing needs, financing developments, and emerging opportunities across theatrical, episodic, streaming, and independent productions.

* Provide informed career guidance, maintain consistent client communication, and advocate for clients throughout negotiations and project engagements.

* Work closely with other agents and agency teams to identify synergies, share opportunities, and develop integrated representation strategies.

* Contribute to departmental growth by signing high-caliber talent, increasing client opportunities, and developing sustainable business relationships.

Qualifications

* An existing roster of clients or a demonstrable track record of developing and maintaining a successful talent roster.

* Established relationships with influential production executives, department heads, filmmakers, and hiring decision-makers.

* Experience negotiating complex employment agreements and compensation packages for film and television talent.

* Knowledge of union and guild environments relevant to represented production professionals.
A demonstrated ability to identify emerging talent, anticipate market demand, and convert industry relationships into tangible business opportunities.

* A high degree of professionalism, discretion, integrity, and commitment to client service.

* Ability to work on-site at the agency's Santa Monica, or New York office location

$125,000-$200,000 depending on experience, client roster, and overall qualifications
