Search for Booking Coordinator jobs in Chicago-IL
As a member of our Event Programming team, a Booking Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:
Fully integrate in booking process by outlining an event's full Production needs and translating outline into a budget for labor, rental equipment, hospitality needs, and other event logistics
Work with VP of Programming on gathering venue avails, expense estimates, ticket scaling and additional information required for submitting offers to agents
Set up ticketing on venue ticketing system through communication with local box offices. Proof audits, seating maps, hold maps, & event evals
Communicate with tour personnel and management on accuracy of event builds
Collaborate with Marketing Department on promotional plan and campaign for each event. Document sales goals for events and maintain contact with Marketing on progress in achieving sales goals
On-Site Show Coverage as a Promoter Representative with tasks including settlement duties with touring act, local co-presenters, and/or venue (when necessary)
Develop material strategies with venues/artists to reduce overall tour expenses
Assist CEO and VP of Programming in creation of touring event opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, or similar discipline
Demonstrated Pursuit of Relevant Industry Experience in Entertainment Business
Experience supporting new business initiatives and strategy-driven projects
Strong ability to communicate in written form in both email to ensure details are adhered to
Ability to travel and work outside normal business hours, as required, to ensure events are produced in a first class manner, and as necessary
Exceptional communication, both within company and to outside contacts with tours and venues
Strong Microsoft Office Skills
Advanced Excel skills required
