The Experiential AV Systems Engineer is a experiential hardware guru. You have experience working with and designing systems that utilize the latest in AV displays, touchscreens and interactive hardware for trade shows, permanent installations and event production environments. You have a deep understanding of display systems, computer hardware, software, and have enviable troubleshooting and organizational skills. You are self-motivated, work well under pressure, and can handle tight deadlines. POSITION
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (Creative Directors, Business Development, Producers, Technical and IT Manager) to recommend, and evaluate projection, display systems, interactive touch screens, computer hardware and other technologies.
Come up with creative ideas and design interactive systems that use the latest in display and interactive screen technologies.
Create drawings for projection and display systems installations.
Provide electrical and HVAC specifications for AV systems in permanent installations.
Price hardware for bids - ability to work with multiple vendors.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to install and integrate Inhance's custom software programs onto specific hardware platforms.
Work with software development, graphics production, and Q/A teams to install software, run extensive testing, and help with troubleshooting.
Travel to permanent locations to install hardware and Inhance's software.
Provide onsite technical support, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, install and update hardware and software drivers.
Manage hardware inventories and hardware logistics for client tradeshows.
Research and evaluate new technical/systems development.
Assist management in timely deployment of new systems.
Act as an interface with the software development team on quality control and documentation of technical projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive experience working with AV system integration companies that install AV equipment for tradeshows and permanent installations.
Extensive knowledge about touch screen technology, display systems, computer graphics hardware, projection/projection mapping, virtual and augmented reality.
The ability to create accurate design drawings and specifications for AV systems, projection systems, display systems and server racks.
Understanding of electrical and HVAC requirement for AV systems
Position requires some travel both domestic and international; must be available for travel
Demonstrated ability to price hardware for bids.
Knowledge of mobile platforms (g., iOS, Android).
Knowledge of basic networking and security (including: DHCP, FTP, SSH, mail and web protocols).
Knowledge of projection systems.
Experience working in experiential companies, AV tradeshow and/or permanent installations is a plus.
Experience working on video walls and interactive displays, a plus.
Must thrive in fast-paced, high pressure environments.
Must have excellent presentation and communication skills (written, oral, internal, and client-facing).
Must work well both independently and on teams. Must be punctual, reliable, flexible, and excellent at balancing multiple detail-oriented projects.
Ability to carry up to 65 lbs.
