Position Summary
The Line Producer works closely with the Coordinators on the project in keeping the show operating in an organised and efficient manner. The Line Producer will oversee the show sequence or discipline schedules and help guide them in order to have a comprehensive sequence or overall show schedule, depending on project size. The Line Producer will directly report to the Production Manager.
We are looking for Line Producers with a solid understanding of scheduling at a sequence and discipline level. You will work closely with the Production Manager, Coordinators, Discipline Supervisors and Leads on a daily basis.
What You'll Do
• Establishing asset, shot or discipline schedules
• Schedule, track, and assign work within the ILM Internal Tracking Tool
• Daily scheduled Coord catch ups on progress of departments.
• Ensure work is on schedule for each department and is meeting internal and external (client) deadlines.
• Working closely with the Coordinators to maintain a strong overall schedule.
• Oversee your coordinators and make sure there is a good practice for rounds, note taking and meetings
• Working with Production Manager/Producer to Plan Show Milestones & Client Review Targets
• Analyze, forcast, anticipate and problem solve within the schedule
• Work with Production Manager to alert them of any resource needs, crunches, concerns, bottlenecks that may affect production
• Supporting Coordinators in the running of dailies, checking work is being done on time and to schedule, making sure feedback is being given in a timely manner
• Report to Producer and Production Manager potential issues that may affect the schedule or workflow.
• Work closely with discipline supervisors and/or leads in crewing, casting and scheduling bodies of work.
• Work with the supervisors to ensure briefs and other dependencies are available before artists are assigned shot work
• Driving Targets meeting Communicating strategy and priorities
• Track client needs, reviews and deliveries to make sure all disciplines hit their targets.
• Keep a weekly synopsis of discipline and/or sequence accomplishments and next steps.
• Serve as key communication liaison between all parties relevant to your work.
• Anticipate and communicate issues to the leadership team(s) to reach solutions in a timely manner.
• Work with the third party vendor teams to establish when tasks are required in the schedule
• Prioritisation and escalation of technical support issues.
• Understanding of PA and Coord role and able to jump in if needed
• Nurturing and Training to Junior members of production
What We're Looking For

• You will have the knowledge to use Google Tools
• You will have experience in tracking databases such as Jira/Shotgun/ or similar
• You understand the importance of efficient task management and tracking artists' time to tasks.
• You will have an understanding of how to use office software such as Excel and Word
• You have an understanding of what a crew blockout is and how it affects your schedule
• You demonstrate the ability to solve assignment conflicts
• You have knowledge of sequence and department scheduling
• You have knowledge of asset and shot scheduling
• You have an understanding of milestone planning and management
• You demonstrate the capability to report actuals and work to complete
• You demonstrate the ability to highlight crewing problems
• You understand the importance of good Dailies management and time keeping
• You will understand the importance of correct note taking, imports and management
• You understand the importance of accurate schedules for client reporting
• You are knowledgeable on managing your coordinators tasks and requirements to best achieve the show schedule
• You demonstrate a good understanding of building relationships with your Supervisors and Leads
• You demonstrate the ability to be a good mentor to others
• You show experience in having the ability to delegate where needed
