This is a Full Time Job
We are looking for an Associate Production Engineer, DevOps who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, production excellence, collaborative mindset and passion for great filmmaking that define ILM.
As a DevOps Production Engineer you will help develop, integrate and maintain build and release pipelines for the Unreal Engine and its associated dependencies and their deployment to multiple Lucasfilm and ILM productions using real-time rendering innovation.
What You'll Do
• Work within TeamCity and GitLab CI to deliver custom Unreal plugins and builds
• Perforce administration for ILM shows including AWS management of server infrastructure using Terraform
• Work within the ADG Automation teams to ensure consistency and best practices
• Manage Windows build agent dependency build pipelines through creation of – and support for – Chocolatey packages and Docker images
• Work with Visual Studio, C++ development and build tools like Cmake
• Work in a game or real-time environments and responsible for releasing a built artifact to production
• Unreal Plugin build/release management across multiple Unreal Engine projects
• Internal Unreal Engine build distribution (in collaboration with IT and ADG Automation)
• Automating the ingest of changes from Epic Games into the ILM source code
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 0 - 2 years of experience in the games or VFX industries
• Passion for DevOps including but not limited to build, release, deployment, and system automation
• Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks
• Excellent communication skills, able to work as part of a team
• Self-motivated individual with excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to quickly learn and then implement new techniques
• Experience with Git or Perforce
• Experience with Ansible or an equivalent configuration management tool
• Experience with Windows automation (Batch, Powershell, etc)
• Experience with Docker on Windows is preferred
• Experience administering TeamCity or an equivalent CI system preferred
• Experience with AWS or an equivalent cloud service provider preferred
• Experience with Terraform preferred
• Experience with C++ and the Unreal Engine codebase preferred
• Experience programming for VR along with 3D math skills (linear algebra, vector math) preferred

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco is $99,800 to $124,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
