Join the 2020 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) as an intern and experience a vibrant cinema and culture while you develop new friendships and connections in the film industry! Interns work closely with festival staff and have an opportunity to see first hand how it all comes together. The festival will run from April 1-5, 2020 at Arclight Hollywood and Regal LA Live.
This role is non-paid and no school credit is offered.
Description:
The Filmmaker Liaison and the Guest Services department manages, oversees and ensures smooth facilitation of our invited filmmakers festival experience. We are the key point-of-contact for all our prestigious filmmakers and guests.
This is a front-facing role that requires regular interaction with the invited filmmakers at IFFLA. You will be an integral part of this department and assist with the operational, administrative and logistical requirements.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Filmmaker Liaison and Guest Relations Associate to run any on site tasks in the days leading up to the Festival as well as during the Festival.
Execute load-ins/outs, set up/clearing out of the Filmmaker Houses and the events held there.
Assist with inventory, cleaning and organizing as needed.
Assist in coordinating filmmaker transportation needs.
Assist in editing any Festival documents and filmmaker handbooks.
Run errands, distribute and print materials, supplies, food or equipment as needed.
Resolve production issues as they arise and escalate to the manager if necessary.
Proficient in Google Docs and other office related needs.
Attend weekly staff meetings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age
Based in Los Angeles
Access to a car and a valid driver's license is preferred.
