OVERVIEW
The Line Producer is responsible for the overall execution of the live show strategy, including product presentations, on-air promotions, sales metrics, and timing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Show Preparation:
Study product history, show lineup, and track sales accelerators
Study and communicate show/product flows for sales strategy execution
Corroborate strategy with Show Planning, Executive Producers, Talent and Crew
Verify all show content and product quantity is available and ready
Lead Pre-Production Meetings delivering and clarifying show execution strategy and contingency plans.
Coordinate and communicate show revisions with Sales and Product Planner, Executive Producer, Visual Product Coordinator, Director, Graphics Operators and Hosts as appropriate
Show Execution:
Execute show strategy, utilizing sales $ per minute, on-air support, item sequence, time allocation, and all available sales tools (counters, clocks, etc.) to ensure solid sales performance
Ensure the effective and efficient execution of the sales recipe through Control Room and Studio operations
Responsible for the delivery and execution of promotional vehicles assigned to show hour
Post-Show Feedback:
Participate in post-mortem discussion with Host, Guest, TV Director and crew
Provide feedback to the organization on show elements, highlighting successes and opportunities focused on sales performance and presentation standards
Strategic Development of On-Air Sales:
Participate in the development of on-air sales techniques and strategies improving the overall sales performance and core role in partnership with business partners (Supervising Producers, Sales and Product Planners, Production Team, Set Design, etc.)
Participate in the development of company initiatives as assigned
Communicate and partner with all internal teams and support business units as necessary
Utilize communication tools, including but not limited to e-mail, voicemail, and meetings
Attend and participate in meetings as scheduled
Provide clear and timely post-show recaps based on timeline needs
Establish and build appropriate communication with direct management, leverage appropriate communication channels
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Associates degree or equivalent experience in a related field
3-5+ years Broadcast/Production experience, live television preferred
Brand Management/Marketing experience preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Able to develop positive working relationships with all levels in an organization
Able to work varied shifts as needed
Sales coaching experience
Demonstrated ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
In order to ensure service levels, it is essential that the individual in this role be able to work a flexible schedule as provided by management.
It is essential that the duties of this role be performed on-site at iMedia's facility.
