We are seeking a skilled and dedicated AV Technician to join our team for the in-person duration of the 8th Imagine Women's Film Festival. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Projectionist is responsible for maintaining excellent audio/visual presentation quality for all guests at the Regal Battery Park Theater.
The Projectionist is accountable for the basic operations of all digital projectors and audio/visual presentations of daily screenings. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience working in projection and audio/visual management with time spent in a cinema presentation environment.
HANDS-ON WORKING EXPERIENCE OF AT LEAST ONE YEAR REQUIRED
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Perform daily theater checks, including show-by-show presentation
Operate and maintain digital film projection equipment
Monitor screenings to ensure proper sound and picture quality
Provide technical support for special events, rentals, and programs (e.g., coordinating microphone systems, DVD or playback, digital signage displays, etc.)
Coordinate with theater staff to ensure smooth operation of screenings
Troubleshoot, maintain, and reporting of all projection/sound equipment-related issues
Perform day-to-day operations of the projection booth
Maintain a clean and organized projection booth
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Must have experience with QLab Software
Strong technical knowledge of film projection equipment and systems
Ability to handle and operate equipment with care
Attention to detail to ensure proper alignment and focus of projected images
Problem-solving skills to quickly address any technical issues that may arise
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with theater staff
THE SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS:
Friday, September 22nd from 5:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Saturday, September 23rd from 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM
Sunday, September 24th from 12:00 PM -9:00 PM
Job Types: Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
