Job Description: Imagine This Women's International Film Festival (ITWIFF) is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals for an internship (remote) for programmers for our upcoming film festival. This is a fantastic opportunity for film enthusiasts to gain valuable experience in the festival industry and contribute to the selection process of our diverse lineup of films.
About the role:
As a Programmer intern, you will gain invaluable experience in programming for a film festival. Interns will assist with reviewing and screening submissions from eight categories (Feature Narrative, Short Narrative, Feature Documentary, Short Documentary, Screenplays, Animation, ADs, and Music Video ) with all aspects of the programming process.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include screening submissions and providing film evaluation via FilmFreeway and Coverfly.
Collaborate with the programming team to review and evaluate film submissions.
Watch and analyze assigned films based on predetermined criteria and guidelines.
Provide constructive feedback and ratings for each film.
Participate in team discussions and contribute to the selection process
Strong knowledge of and interest in film and media.
Good writing and communication skills.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge and passion for cinema across various genres and styles.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain objectivity in the evaluation process.
Good communication skills to effectively convey your opinions and feedback.
Availability to commit to the internship for at least 3 to 4 months. Must be able to commit to a 10-hour commitment.
Ability to work independently.
Flexible schedule and ability to work remotely.
