This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Job Description:
The festival will take place September 25 -27 2026, at Regal Union Square (850 Broadway, New York, NY 10003). During the festival, audiences will enjoy film screenings, filmmaker Q&As, parties, panels, workshops, and discussions.
We invite you to join our dedicated volunteer team in one of the following areas:
Theatre Operations / Box Office Team
Help ensure the smooth operation of the festival by assisting with venue setup and breakdown, placing signage, welcoming guests, scanning tickets, directing attendees, managing audience flow, answering patron questions, and supporting front-of-house operations.
Photographer
Capture high-quality photos of screenings, panels, networking events, filmmakers, and special moments throughout the festival. Applicants must provide their own camera and equipment.
Videographer
Record festival highlights, filmmaker interviews, Q&A sessions, panels, and special events for promotional and archival purposes. Applicants must provide their own video equipment.
Social Media Team
Help bring the festival to life online by creating engaging real-time content across Instagram and Facebook. Responsibilities include:
Capturing behind-the-scenes photos and videos
Creating Instagram Stories, Reels, and short-form videos
Covering filmmaker Q&As, panels, networking events, and special moments
Interviewing filmmakers, guests, and attendees
Writing captions and posting live festival updates
Engaging with attendees and responding to social media interactions
Collaborating with the marketing, photography, and videography teams to maximize festival coverage
Usher / Guest Services Team
Serve as the welcoming face of the festival by greeting guests, directing attendees to screening rooms, answering questions, assisting with seating, and helping maintain an enjoyable experience for all patrons.
Moderators
Watch assigned films in advance and facilitate post-screening Q&A sessions with filmmakers and audiences. Strong communication and public speaking skills are encouraged.
Floater
Support festival operations wherever needed by filling in for volunteers, assisting with special assignments, providing breaks for team members, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly throughout the event.
