As we gear up for our 10th annual film festival, we are thrilled to announce a hybrid format. The in-person festival will take place from September 11 - September 14, with screenings, panels at LOOK Cinemas (657 W 57th St, New York, NY 10019). The online festival will run from September 19 - September 29, 2025.
We invite you to join our dedicated volunteer team and make an impact in the following areas:
Theatre Operations/Box Office Team: Join us in ensuring the smooth operation of our festival venues. Your responsibilities will include setting up and dismantling equipment and materials, assisting with heavy lifting, placing signage, welcoming guests, guiding them to their seats, scanning tickets, managing queues inside and outside the venue, and addressing patron inquiries.
Photographer: Capture photos to share with filmmakers, social media, and marketing teams. You must have your camera.
Videographer: Capture videos to share with filmmakers, social media, and marketing teams. Record interviews with filmmakers, as well as events, Q&As, and special sessions. Please note, you must have your equipment.
Social Media Team: Harness the power of social media to spread excitement about our festival. Volunteers on this team play a crucial role in promoting festival news and events across various social media platforms, blogs, and forums. Help us keep our audience informed and engaged.
Usher/Guest Services Team: Become the face of our festival by providing exceptional customer service to all patrons. Your role involves warmly welcoming attendees, offering directions, and addressing any queries they may have. After each event, contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the area.
Moderators: You will be required to watch the films and facilitate Q&A sessions between the filmmakers and the audience after screenings.
Floater: Step into a versatile role as a Floater and contribute to special tasks, offer breaks to fellow volunteers, or fill in vacant positions as needed. Flexibility is key in this role, and familiarity with other volunteer responsibilities will be beneficial.
