Position: Staff Production Accountant
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-Time, Salary
Reports To: Head of Production (Documentaries division) and Corporate Finance
Position Summary:
Imagine is seeking a candidate to help manage Production Accounting and Finance for its Documentaries Division. This accountant role will work closely with the Director of Production Accounting, Production Management, and freelance production management teams to oversee production accounting across the slate of projects, from development to wrap. Additionally, this role will work with Corporate Finance for bank reconciliation, profit tracking, etc.
Responsibilities:
Serve as main production accountant on select documentary feature and series projects (processing weekly payroll, processing weekly AP, month close cost reporting to Networks & Corporate Accounting)
Track overhead and billbacks across projects.
Track AR across all clients & projects.
Liaise with the Director of Production Accounting & Head of Production to ensure accurate and timely reporting of production costs.
Manage year-end 1099 reporting.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience in production finance / accounting.
Proficient in Greenslate Accounting & Cashet software.
Detailed understanding of unscripted & documentary production.
Strong communication, organizational and processing skills.
Adept at anticipating potential issues, identifying problems, recommending and implementing solutions; escalating as needed.
Ability to succinctly and efficiently correspond with internal and external partners.
