illuminate Hollywood, a leading LA based Post Production Company is seeking a Quality Control Operator to join our team.
illuminate Studios is a technology innovator in production and post-production serving the local and global entertainment industry. Working with major studios, TV networks, digital platforms, independent producers, and distributors, illuminate provides traditional post-production services such as editorial, color correction, digital intermediate and distribution in 2K and 4K.
We are looking for a professional self-motivated candidate, with superior work ethic and ability to work to strict delivery deadlines, with minimal direct supervision. Must have the ability to review and understand technical specs as they pertain to the creation of content for digital distribution platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Solid understanding of component/composite, digital/analog video theory
• Mastery of HD and SD machines and auxiliary equipment used for QC
• Understanding of aspect ratios and pixel/ line counts
• Knowledge of down conversion process and 3:2 cadence
• Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve and Avid Media Composer
• Proficient in Final cut Pro 7 and Adobe Premiere Creative Cloud
Proficient in file and tape formats
• Solid understanding and ability to identify issues related to film, video and audio
• Detailed reporting of errors and anomalies
• Solid Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of post production processes
• Strict Attention to Detail
• Ability to sit for long periods of time and pay close attention to images and sound
• Ability to stay on task with minimum supervision in a casual, fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality
• Minimum three years of Master-level quality control experience within a television and film pros production environment
• Prompt, dependable attendance, flexibility with work schedule
