Film & Television Publicity Assistant
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented entry-level professional to join our high-performance team as a Film & Television Publicity Assistant. This role offers a career-track opportunity for individuals looking to grow into entertainment publicists. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of discretion, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide heavy administrative support, including managing client documents, scheduling, confirming press opportunities, and coordinating events and junkets.
Monitor and service client press coverage, maintain assets, and update media lists.
Participate in client strategy development and execution, with increasing responsibilities as experience grows.
Assist in pitching efforts and begin forming industry relationships through mentorship and introductions.
Occasionally work compensated out-of-hours shifts for industry and client events, such as screenings, red carpets, and junkets.
Qualifications:
Strong interest in entertainment publicity as a career.
Excellent writing, research, organizational, and proofreading skills.
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to work well under deadlines and take direction effectively.
Professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
Pop culture expertise in film and television is a plus.
Job Type & Location:
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Los Angeles. Currently, we work remotely on Fridays
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly rate of $21.63 (non-exempt; annualized at $45,000), with opportunities for paid overtime.
