As a brand designer, you will communicate the product purpose, story, and functionality of our clients through typography, color and space. At Hylink, Designers weave iconography, typography, color, space and textures together to help our clients successfully brand their products and services across multiple digital channels. You'll rely on user-centered design principles to produce high-quality visuals-from concept to execution-across many platforms, such as Wechat, HTML5, Mobile, Web, Apps, Native Ads, and branded social media / e-commerce properties. You'll also be critical in projecting the Hylink brand through creation of infographics, presentations, and maintenance of our internal visual language.
Minimum Qualifications:
College graduate with 2-3 years graphic design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), multimedia design or advertising degree strongly preferred, or equivalent work experience required.
A strong, memorable portfolio of graphic and interactive design work.
1-2 years design experience, flexibility, quickness and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get work done
Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign and a bonus if you have experience with Adobe After Effects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working as a visual designer, illustrator, or graphics illustrator
Demonstrated experience in designing infographics, communications toolkits
Strong, clean visual design sense.
Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
Strong core design skills; ability to establish visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color effectively.
Must have strong work ethic with positive can-do attitude, not afraid of new challenges, tight timelines or curve balls.
Demonstrated ability to produce compelling illustrations to convey a brand story and experience.
Responsibilities:
Produce high-quality visual designs, illustrations to convey a story narrative or idea -from concept to execution, including those for desktop, web, and mobile devices.
Rapid prototyping & mock-ups to visualize ideas
Must be equally comfortable sketching fast on a napkin or pushing the tiniest pixel; both are crucial.
Balance art with corporate branding and business objectives
Develop the design rationale and explain visual choices to cross-functional teams; express concepts verbally and visually.
Attend status/kick-off meetings, creative review meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Create and iterate on assets that reflect the brand, enforce a language, and inject beauty and life into all our creative and brand assets.
Must be highly organized and able to manage details for multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
