SUMMARY
Hulu’s Consumer and Market Insights (CMI) team is seeking a Senior Social Insights Manager who will be an outstanding addition to our CMI team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing social listening and insights to interpret data, translating it into actionable ideas and building stunning PowerPoint reports to support the company’s strategic, brand, and cultural initiatives. As the Manager, Social Insights, you will have a passion for uncovering and analyzing impact, identifying trends, influencers and marketing or cultural opportunities for Hulu. The right person for this role is someone passionate about bringing the voice of the consumer to the boardroom and who is comfortable juggling multiple complex projects at once. The ideal candidate has experience across most of the following key areas: social media monitoring/listening, influencer identification, campaign evaluation and online competitive research
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Manage the complete process of planning and executing social insights and analysis
Handle all social analytics and listening vendor relationships
Measure and monitor social media activities and conversations, and develop recommendations for how these insights can be used to inform campaign planning, optimization and success for Hulu by developing appropriate KPIs and reporting
Work with team and key partners in Marketing, Product and Distribution teams to frame the objectives/plan
Coordinate with partners (both internal and external), ensuring processes are running efficiently
Work with and support the social media teams within both Brand and Originals Marketing
Stay abreast of trends and best practices in television, OTT and social media
Ensure social media tooling accurately addresses business needs, is best-in-class, and efficient
Partner with the rest of the org to act as a consultant, ensuring social data is being appropriately used throughout
Work alongside primary and secondary research teams to elevate and incorporate social insights into regular deliverables
Develop a cultural listening program
Maintain social media command center
WHAT TO BRING
5+ years of social insights experience, preferably at an agency or brand focused on the Entertainment vertical
Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across at all levels of the organization
Collaborative and inclusive team player with experience managing and developing a team
Understanding of a variety of social insight methodologies and their applications
Ability to be strategic as well as dive into the data to answer research and business questions
Passionate about research, television, marketing, emerging media and technology
Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
Proficient with market leading social media tools (e.g. ListenFirst, Crimson Hexagon, NetBase, Canvs, Shareablee)
Understanding of native analytics solutions across all social media platforms
BA/BS required
NICE-TO-HAVES
Mix of agency, vendor and client-side social media insights experience
Strong working knowledge of other research methodologies and how social media data best complements them
Experience working in the streaming video on-demand industry (SVOD) or multi video programming distribution industry (MVPD) working for a distributor or content provider
