SUMMARY
Hulu's Partnerships team is seeking a Senior Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our growing team. As a Senior Manager at Hulu, you will be directly responsible for overseeing key relationships with consumer device manufacturers and play an integral role in driving the strategy and long-term planning for Hulu's core distribution partnerships across the category. The right person for this role is a natural leader, well-versed in the streaming media ecosystem and experienced in navigating cross-functional relationships both within and outside a large organization. WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Own and manage a key set of consumer device manufacturer relationships, fostering proactive collaboration and executing across all stages of the partnership lifecycle (i.e., deal negotiation, subscriber acquisition, engagement/retention, technical cooperation, joint marketing initiatives, roadmap planning, etc.)
• Lead efforts to drive subscriber growth and engagement for Hulu's SVOD and Live TV subscription offerings through strategic product feature integrations, promotional placements/offers and identification of breakthrough opportunities with device partners
• Establish collaborative cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders on the Product, Marketing, Technology, Legal, Finance and Content teams to help prioritize roadmap milestones, facilitate execution of partnership requirements and deliver against business objectives for all owned partnerships
• Rigorously analyze partner performance, provide key requirements to technical teams to establish partner tracking mechanisms and regularly create/update long-term plans for each owned partnership
• Develop long-term financial framework for device partnership category, working closely with Finance and Data/Analytics teams to develop insights that will inform deal term prioritization and strategic initiatives across the organization
• Track and communicate key industry trends, analyses and actionable insights to assess potential new partnerships as well as opportunities with existing partners
• Create and deliver key presentations to senior leadership within Hulu and at external partners
WHAT TO BRING
• Bachelor's Degree
• 12 years of professional experience, with several years in either product and/or business development, preferably at a media or technology company
• Demonstrated results in the development and execution of business and/or product strategies to build and maintain successful external partnerships
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, with an ability to work hand-in-hand with diverse stakeholders across an organization (including finance, product, technology, marketing and legal teams)
• Excellent analytical skills, with deep experience building financial/economic models/frameworks (ideally in the subscription space) to forecast and evaluate performance for business/product initiatives
• Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data and draw inferences from KPIs, quickly synthesizing them into actionable steps supporting a broader strategic plan
• Strong background leading technical projects, with specific skills in translating business objectives/priorities for product management and engineering colleagues
• Entrepreneurial approach to all projects; ability to initiate action with collaborators without direction
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently, with flexibility to adapt seamlessly to rapid shifts in direction/strategy
• Ability to identify problems, quickly devise feasible solution options, disseminate the appropriate information to relevant stakeholders and ultimately bring about timely resolution
• Excellent communication skills with ability to tailor messages for both business and technical audiences; comfort in addressing informal team meetings and delivering prepared presentations to executives/external audiences
• Passion for entertainment and technology with a deep interest in the evolution of the digital/media industries
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Power Point/Word; comfort learning and immersing yourself in new tools
• Management experience with direct reports
• Willingness to travel (15-30%)
