SUMMARY
Hulu's Talent & Organization (TAO) team is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst who will be an excellent addition to our TAO team. As a Senior Compensation Analyst at Hulu, you will play a key role in the design, administration, and communication of all of Hulu's compensation programs. The right person for this role is just as comfortable building Excel models as they are partnering directly with team members and senior leaders to educate them and influence compensation decisions. We are not looking for an order-taker or someone that applies best-practices on principle. We need someone who will think critically and independently to form opinions on what our pay programs should look like at Hulu and gain alignment and support. If you are someone who is a self-starter, a creative problem-solver, and a relationship builder, then this is a great role for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Play a leading role in designing and administering our VX (Viewer Experience) and sales compensation plans.
• Assess and evolve Hulu's incentive plan designs to ensure they grow with our thriving company, align with our compensation philosophy, and drive retention.
• As our compensation team's most senior analyst, you'll offer mentorship to our Compensation Analysts and act as a coach on a number of workstreams.
• Partner with Talent Advisors (HR Business Partners), Recruiters, and business leaders to equip them with the compensation resources, insights, and tools they need to successfully recruit and retain top talent.
• Collaborate with your team to design compelling training materials and deliver communications to educate Hulugans on our incentive programs.
• Lead a wide range of simple to complex compensation projects, from conception through execution. You'll improve and iterate on existing programs and processes, while also spearheading new projects and analyses.
• Oversee market studies, using a variety of sources (e.g., turnover, hiring rates, market compensation), developing recommended actions, and presenting your proposal to key partners. You'll influence outcomes with data and insights.
• At Hulu, the compensation team is part of the People Analytics team, along with HR Tech, Hulugan Sciences, and Talent Management Shared Services. You'll frequently join efforts with other People Analytics Hulugans to partner on projects such as company-wide Performance Reviews and Diversity & Inclusion analyses.
WHAT TO BRING
• 5 years of professional experience with shown success in the key responsibilities described above
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, or related field
• Expert in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel; you'll need experience building dynamic and intuitive Excel models (vlookups are not enough) and graphical displays of data
• Facility with quantitative data analysis and an ability to see beyond the numbers; you'll balance insights and data to drive decision-making
• Familiarity with sales incentive compensation plan
• Exceptional project management skills that include a knack for managing expectations of various project partners
• Highly organized and efficient, with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
NICE-TO-HAVES
• Familiarity with key HR systems: MarketPay, Workday, and Callidus
• Management or HR Consulting experience
• Experience with international compensation plans
