Full Posting:
Hulu is seeking a Publicist who will be an outstanding addition to our Hulu Publicity team. You will play a fundamental role at Hulu by serving as the primary foundation of support in the promotion and marketing of Original Series, Documentaries, and more as they arrive on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. This position is front-and-center in the ideation, strategy, and execution of publicity campaign launches, initiatives, and events with a focus on international. The right person for this role is energized by working in a fast-paced creative environment and possesses a strong ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently while prioritizing and following through on vital department projects and directives. This person should have strong writing and organizational skills, a robust attention to detail, existing knowledge of key industry press, and a finger on the pulse of entertainment and pop culture.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage PR campaigns for assigned projects from development to implementation, with oversight/guidance from manager.
• Work with manager and stakeholders to identify new PR opportunities.
• Collaborate and communicate plans with internal cross-functional teams and international teams including marketing, creative, and social on initiatives and global alignment.
• Assist with areas of specialty focus (e.g., festivals, development, TCA, Upfront).
• Track media coverage and gather media recap reports.
• Provide light assistance with department management and planning.
• Coordinate talent schedules and handle logistics for publicity tours and press junkets.
• Draft and manage press materials (PR strategies, loglines, bios, press blasts, announcements).
• Aid in event planning and execution for industry events.
• Schedule and facilitate talent interviews.
• Communicate campaign plans to international teams across the globe with clear, concise language.
• Manage requests from international teams (assets, strategies, talent interviews, activation approvals).
• Research industry trends, media opportunities, and maintain awareness of world events and international holidays.
• Pitch interviews, stories, festivals, and speaking opportunities in promotion of assigned projects.
• Communicate directly with external stakeholders and talent/talent reps to ensure alignment on publicity tactics.
Basic Qualifications:
• 4 years minimum experience in Publicity/Marketing at another platform, studio, or agency.
• Proven knowledge of how to facilitate a PR campaign from start to finish.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suites, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Drive.
• Understanding and passion for entertainment media.
• Ability to collaborate with people at all management levels and strengthen cross-team relationships.
Required Education:
• BA required (Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred).
Compensation:
• The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $68,300 to $93,800 per year.
