SUMMARY
Hulu is seeking Director, Consumer and Marketing Insights to join our research team based in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience developing insights from qualitative and quantitative methodologies and demonstrated skill working cross-functionally with internal partners and executive-level business leads. The research will focus on the total customer experience and identifying future trends, as well as the development and management of projects that support brand, product, acquisition, marketing and content objectives. The role should be focused on deriving actionable insights from a diverse cross-section of studies, developing innovative techniques to understand consumer behavior, media consumption and competitive trends, and to direct brand strategy and uncover business opportunities. You should exhibit a relentless pursuit in finding better ways, be a problem-solver, a thoughtful and supportive manager, and a team player.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Apply your knowledge in research design, analysis and the presentation of data to uncover actionable insights to drive the Hulu business
• Define marketplace hypotheses and identify methods to explore and validate
• Execute content testing and positioning research to inform acquisition decisions and determine marketing hooks
• Accurately and effectively measure marketing campaigns and track against team goals and objectives
• Build cross-functional relationships and develop plans to meet business objectives
• Utilize and analyze robust internal data to deliver insights on viewer behavior and product experience
• Position Hulu in the media landscape, understand and explore consumer needs and motivations
• Prioritize research projects based on team and company directives
• Manage a team of 20 people with diverse backgrounds in brand, content, user experience and marketing research
WHAT TO BRING
• 15 years' experience in media measurement, consumer insights, product and/or marketing research
• Demonstrated people leadership skills
• Experience in SPSS, R, Python, Tableau or other similar packages
