SUMMARY
Hulu's Talent and Organization (TAO) team is seeking a Compensation Analyst who will be an exceptional addition to our TAO team. You will play a supporting role in the design, administration, and communication of all of Hulu's compensation programs. The right person for this role is just as comfortable building Excel models as they are partnering directly with managers and business leaders to educate them and influence compensation decisions. We need someone who will think critically and independently to form opinions on what Hulu's pay programs should look like and partner with others to gain alignment and support. If you are someone who is a self-starter, a creative problem-solver, and a relationship builder, then this is a great role for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Drive a wide range of simple to complex compensation projects, from conception to execution. You'll offer insights on how to improve and iterate on existing programs and processes, while also helping to execute new projects and analyses.
• Lead one-off market studies, using a variety of sources (e.g., turnover, hiring rates, market compensation). You'll benchmark roles as needed, develop recommended actions, and support your team on presenting a proposal and influencing decisions.
• Partner with our Talent Advisors (HR Business Partners), Recruiters, and hiring managers to regularly assess the competitive market positioning of Hulugans. You'll equip these business partners with the compensation resources and insights they need to successfully recruit and retain top talent.
• Assist in managing and evolving a broad range compensation plans including our incentive plans to ensure they grow with our thriving company, align with our compensation philosophy, and drive retention.
• Represent Hulu in its relationships with compensation survey vendors. Manage our survey coordinator during annual survey participation process.
• Assist in updating and auditing compensation data; you'll uncover opportunities to improve compensation analyses and strengthen our reporting capabilities.
• At Hulu, the compensation team is part of the People Analytics team, along with HR Tech, Hulugan Sciences, and Talent Management Shared Services. You'll frequently join efforts with other People Analytics Hulugans to partner on projects such as company-wide Performance Reviews and Diversity and Inclusion analyses.
WHAT TO BRING
• 3-5 years of professional experience with demonstrated success in the key responsibilities described above
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, or related field
• Expert in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel; you'll need experience building dynamic and intuitive Excel models (vlookups are not enough) and graphical displays of data
• Facility with quantitative data analysis and an ability to see beyond the numbers; you'll balance insights and data to drive decision-making
• Strong project management skills
• Familiarity with sales incentive compensation plans
• Highly organized and efficient, with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience with key HR systems: MarketPay, Workday, and Callidus
• Management or HR Consulting experience
• Experience with international compensation plans
