Post Production Service Technician - Avid & Adobe
We are a busy media services company providing editorial technical support and gear rentals for major studios and worldwide production companies. This position will have a primary focus on the post-production edit and media storage systems across 4 local facilities. The position also includes providing ongoing daily operational and maintenance support for the post-production, finishing/online division, and other various technical operating areas within the facility.
All qualified applicants will be considered.
Qualifications
• Candidates should have the ability to learn new technologies quickly in a rapidly changing environment, a motivated self-starter and strategic thinker. Experience with supporting people remotely, and understanding feature and television workflows is necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required, as there will be frequent interaction with senior executives, partners, and clients. Effectively handling client and internal user troubleshooting in a friendly and efficient manner
• Strong, hands-on experience with computers, including: installing, troubleshooting, and upgrading Operating Systems (Macintosh and Windows), Browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari), Microsoft Office, basic email setup and function, and GMAIL.
• Must have strong organizational skills to maintain multiple tasks and the status of each daily.
• Must have maintenance or support experience with Avid ISIS and Avid Media Composer edit platforms, Adobe CC,
• Image, install, deploy, manage, and support hardware, software, email, phones, peripherals, conference rooms, and other user-related operations.
• Provide front line support for issues with login, forgotten passwords, training and walkthrough for assisting users with utilizing rental gear.
• Knowledge and experience with various file formats used in post-production including Op1a, MOV, JPEG2000, H.264, DNX, MXF, PRORES etc
• Experience with NAS administration including creation and access of users to specific share points a plus.
• Basic knowledge of networking including assigning IP addresses, DNS, DHCP, firewall/routers functions, and basic network troubleshooting tools.
• Basic understanding of LTO archiving. StorageDNA archiving and sync experience a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
• Current ACSR certification is a plus and will be given priority consideration
• Advanced understanding of and experience with OS X and Windows operating systems
• Advanced understanding and experience with storage and networking infrastructure
• At least 2 years working experience on television, feature or animated productions
Eligibility Requirements
• Be available for rotating after hours and on call support.
• Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends, on occasion.
• Other duties as assigned.
