This is a Full Time Unpaid Internship
Department: Finance
Reports to: Manager, Finance
Classification: Part-time/Non-Exempt/Seasonal

Summary
The Finance Intern will be exposed to all aspects of general finance and accounting business. The Finance Intern will have numerous opportunities to learn about a fully functioning finance department, as well as an up-close look into how a successful finance department operates. The selected individual must be professional and able to handle a large amount of confidential information.
Essential Functions
• Perform general accounting functions such as: processing deposits, processing invoices for payment, and sending invoices to customers.
• Aid in the reconciliation of bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist the finance management team with special projects.
• Assist in maintaining records of financial operations.
• Data entry.
• General finance administrative duties.
• Other related duties as required or assigned.
Required Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• In pursuit or recent completion of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills.
• High level of professionalism with ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
• Superior attention to detail and deadline orientation.
• Ability to work efficiently.
• Highly motivated with strong work ethic.
• Ability to maintain discretion concerning confidential records.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
• Strong written and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Typical hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
