Classification: Full Time/Exempt
Summary:
This role is responsible for helping plan, support, and execute all aspects of live production within the ballpark footprint for Astros games and Special Events. This role partners with all departments in the organization to develop and execute run of show for games, promotions, events, and Special Events with live production needs. The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting all the technical components of a live event (setup and execution) and serve as secondary contact for control room technology. This role will also be responsible for the creation of ROS and PA Script documents for pre-game and in-game activations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, script, and assist in execution of game elements consistent with department philosophy along with company values, vision, and mission
• Will be lead Producer for a minimum of 10 Astros Home Games and preseason College Baseball tournaments
• Submit internal Ballpark Entertainment content requests
• Support staff for all control room, video production setup, and scoreboard needs
• Develop, create and coordinate with all departments on creation of game scripting documents
• Responsible for production crew member time approval and tracking all in-house staff payroll processing through Ultipro
• Manage/edit production videos, features, and game footage as needed for internal and external distribution
• Assist with ensuring that all video content is accurately loaded for sponsorship and marketing departments
• Liaison with MLB for all press conference testing and distribution via MLB feed
• Partner with internal and external clients to fulfill game content distribution and organization
• Work all Astros home games in assigned staff positions as needed
• Complete special projects as assigned
• Team-based leadership/creative collaboration is a must
• Perform other duties as assigned
Education
and/or Experience & Skills:
• Degree in Broadcast Production, Cinematography, or relevant work experience
• 2 years of experience in live sports productions, editing (audio/video), and game scripting
• 1 years of experience in game live production scripting
• Expert knowledge of control room software packages including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, Ross XPression, Xpression Tessera, Click Effects, etc.
• Knowledge of Control Room system functionality (switcher, audio setup, data storage, etc.)
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with other departments and tenured production staff
• Must by very organized, flexible and able to work in a live production and fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work all Houston Astros home games and serve as a contact for Special Events
• Previous working experience with an MLB and/or MiLB Club is preferred
• 3 years of experience in live sports productions, editing (audio/video), and game scripting is preferred
Work Environment:
Position will work in an office and stadium environment (both indoors and outdoors). This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time as well as stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crawl or crouch; use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision. The position may be required to lift and carry up to 20lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position and requires the ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must have ability to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed.
Travel:
Travel is not expected for this position.
