This is a Freelance Job
I am a producer working remotely across several high-end NYC studios.
I'm looking for a ''right-hand'' intern assistant engineer who is sharp, learns my personal workflow quickly, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This isn't a standard 9-to-5; I need someone flexible who is ready to work late-night sessions and move between different studio locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Rapid Session Setup: Efficiently prepping templates in Pro Tools Logic Pro and routing hardware across various studio setups.
Active Engineering: Managing gain staging, tracking vocals/instruments, and performing ''surgical'' edits at high speed.
Workflow Integration: Learning my specific production style and anticipating the next step in the creative process.
File Management: Ensuring all sessions are backed up, organized, and ready for remote hand-offs.
What We're Looking For:
• The ''Night Owl'': You are naturally most productive in the evening and late-night hours.
• Fast Learner: You can watch a process once and replicate it perfectly the second time.
• Technical Agility: High proficiency in Logic Pro is required.
You should be comfortable jumping onto different interfaces (Focusrite, Apollo, etc.) and troubleshooting on the fly.
NYC Mobility: Ability to get to various studios in Manhattan or Brooklyn for late sessions.
Attitude: Low ego, high focus. You are there to facilitate the creative spark and keep the technical side invisible.
