Job Description:
This role role is on the front lines of developing and telling an artist's story to the world.
Oversee posting, maintenance and strategic growth for all owned Hopeless Records social properties.
Work with Hopeless artists on social growth strategy, best practices, and campaign development.
Develop unique opportunities/events for our artists to collaborate with media and social influencers.
Oversee publicity campaigns for Hopeless artists including developing targets and pitches, as well as directly pitching writers and editors on coverage.
Develop and maintain relationships with editors and writers as well as social media personalities.
Assist in overall brainstorming and planning and providing general marketing support for our campaigns.
This role is in the Marketing Department and reports to the VP of marketing.
Candidate Requirements:
Must be responsible, trustworthy, friendly and able to uphold our company principles at all times.
Have a general understanding of the alternative music community and our artists.
1-3 years experience working in social media, publicity, and/or music marketing.
Must be detail oriented & and a strong communicator.
Proficient in all major social media platforms.
Proficient in all basic office computer skills (Email, google documents, excel, etc.).
Proficient in creating promotional graphics and simple video edits needed for socials.
At least 21 years old and a High School graduate. Bachelors degree a plus.
Live in, and able to work in Los Angeles, CA. This role is full time and not remote. Current schedule is a mix of in office work as well as work from home, in place due to Covid.
