Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Income Tracking Coordinator is to assist with collecting revenue correctly, comprehensively and in a timely manner for DMG products, licenses, etc. for all types of music royalties earned by The Walt Disney Company music copyrights.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct research across multiple sources to confirm receipt of royalty payments and statements.
• Utilize available data sources in order to review royalty statements and identify missing income
• Create reports to track, compare and monitor earnings to identify missing income
• Review music licensing contracts, and determine whether royalties have been reported correctly
• Complete data entry of payments received in system accurately
• Contact licensees and take necessary steps to collect missing reporting and royalty payments.
• Develop strong knowledge of Disney owned music repertoire
• Build and maintain productive relationships with other DMG and partners across the company, and external business partners
• Assist in other administrative and day to day tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years Music Copyright and/or Music Royalties experience
• Strong Excel skills required
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Appreciation of music
• Creative thinker, problem solver and diplomatic
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships with others
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance preferred or equivalent experience in music copyright and/or royalties
