Are you passionate about film and want to get real-world film publicity experience?
Film Festival at Hollywood Park, a leading showcase of independent cinema in Los Angeles, seeks a Publicity Intern to assist senior staff in promoting the upcoming festival, Oct. 6-12.
During the 7-day event, more than 100 films of all genres will make their Los Angeles theatrical premieres.
The selected candidate(s) will publicize both the event and its brand as well as select features and special series, including:
• Writing press releases
• Liaising with film directors and actors
• Issuing media alerts
• Coordinating the Red Carpet
The successful candidate will have a background, either academic or professional, in media relations, strong writing skills, and the ability to persuade.
The position is available immediately and will end on Oct. 30 (approximately 4 months).
The internship is remote with the opportunity to meet with senior staff in-person (in Los Angeles) or via video chat.
There are no set office hours, but 6-8 hours per week is required. Assignments are made during a weekly PR team meeting.
