Hollywood Park Film Festival -- a leading showcase for independent cinema in Los Angeles -- is now accepting applications for its Fall 2025 Internship program. Ideal candidates will have an academic or professional background in film studies, communication-PR, or video production and editing. College student applicants who can receive school credit for their internship are preferred, but not necessary.
The seven-day festival, October 6-12, will present the Los Angeles theatrical premieres of more than 100 films of all genres -- from social justice documentaries to rom-coms, horror films to experimental non-narrative features. A passion for independent filmmaker is a must.
During your internship, you'll work closely with senior staff in all aspects of the planning and production of the festival. In advance of the event, depending on your background, you'll be given a variety of weekly assignments, including serving as a liaison to the participating filmmakers; promoting the festival's film lineup through social media and publicity; creating promotional videos, or logistical event planning.
During the festival, you'll be on-site, helping to coordinate in real time Red Carpet appearances by VIPs celebrities, directors and cast members; organizing industry network receptions and gala parties, and shooting and editing video footage,
The internship is a remote position until the event itself with flexible hours, however, with a required minimal commitment of 6-8 hours per week. Positions are available to begin immediately and last at least through the end of October.
