Intern - Fashion Editorial

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

HollywoodLife is looking for unpaid, college credit Fashion Interns with a demonstrated interest in fashion, celebrities and writing to join us in our NYC office the winter and spring 2013 semesters. This is a non-paying 2 to 3 days per week internship FOR COLLEGE CREDIT ONLY. Each intern MUST be enrolled in an accredited college or university. Spearheaded by Editor-in-Chief Bonnie Fuller -- whose previous positions include EIC of Cosmopolitan, US Weekly, Star and Glamour -- Hollywood Life is a celebrity news, fashion, beauty and lifestyle destination geared toward women ages 18 to 34. Launched almost three years ago, the site boasts more than 13 million unique visitors a month and has offices in both Los Angeles and New York. Fashion Interns report directly to the Fashion Editor, who will guide the Intern to gain experience calling in and organizing beauty products. In addition, there will be opportunities for researching the latest fashion trends, attending fashion industry events, and writing fashion editorial content.

This Internship Opportunity Includes:
• Calling in beauty products and keeping samples well-organized
• Learning how to do photo research for celebrity fashion stories
• Attending fashion industry events
• Interviewing fashion industry professionals
• Training on how to professionally maintain a fashion contact database
• The opportunity to conceptualize and pitch ideas for editorial coverage

Requirements:
• MUST BE an Undergraduate/Graduate student
• Committed to a fulfilling and challenging internship for school credit
• Highly organized, able to meet deadlines and overall thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge, interest, and experience in fashion business and celebrity culture
• Self-motivated, passionate, results-oriented
• Prior fashion industry internship experience a plus
• Interest and experience in writing is a plus
• Prior online media experience is a plus
