Internship Dates: Late April/Early May - August 23rd, 2026
Time Commitment: Variable depending on your availability, but a minimum of 5-10 hours per week
We are looking for a group of interns to assist with the programming and execution of the 22nd Annual HollyShorts Film Festival, taking place August 13th - 23rd. The team will need assistance with reviewing and rating film submissions that will make up this year's festival program, as well as with on-site activities during the ten-day festival in August (if available).
Applicants do not have to be LA-based. For LA-based applicants, note that we will pay for on-site meals and parking during the festival.
What You'll Do:
• Watch and rate short film submissions on FilmFreeway
• Meet with the review team bi-weekly to discuss the most notable films that you recommend
• Data collection
• Industry & film-related research
• Ticketing / organizing the attendees list (leading up to the festival)
• Set-up and break-down (on-site)
• Greet and assist filmmakers/attendees (on-site)
What You'll Need:
• Passion for independent film
• Possess a critical eye for high-quality filmmaking
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• An interest in film programming, film festivals, and curation
