HollyShorts Film Festival - Intern + Film Reviewer
March 4th - August 18th, 2024
We are looking for a small group of interns to assist with the programming and execution of the 20th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival, August 8th-17th. The HollyShorts Film Festival is an Academy Award®-qualifying independent short film festival located in Hollywood, California. The team will need assistance with reviewing and rating the film submissions which will make up this year's festival program, as well as on-site activity during the ten-day festival in August.
Applicants must be LA-Based. Note that we will pay for on-site meals and parking during the festival.
What You'll Do:
- Watch and rate short film submissions on FilmFreeway
- Meet with the review team bi-monthly to discuss the most notable films which you recommend
- Data collection
- Industry & film-related research
- Ticketing / organize the attendees list (leading up to the festival)
- Set-up and break-down (on-site)
- Greet and assist filmmakers/attendees (on-site)
What You'll Need:
Friendly and respectful demeanor
Professional communication skills both written and verbal
Passionate eye for high-quality filmmaking
