HollyShorts Film Festival
Remote, USThis is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Internship Dates: September - December (exact dates are flexible), with the possibility of extending through the Spring semester
Time Commitment: Variable depending on your availability, but a minimum of 10 hours per week
Workplace Location: Fully Remote
What You'll Do:
• Watch and evaluate short films submitted to the festival across narrative, documentary, animation, and other categories
• Write concise and thoughtful film evaluations and programming notes in FilmFreeway
• Identify films with strong artistic, technical, and storytelling qualities
• Data collection
• Industry & film-related research
What You'll Need:
• Strong knowledge and passion for independent, international, and contemporary cinema
• Ability to watch a high volume of films while maintaining thoughtful, consistent evaluations
• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An interest in film festivals, film criticism, and curation
