Intern - Social Media

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Hold the Door Podcast is seeking a part-time Social Media Intern to launch season 3 of the show. This is a hands-on, flexible role focused on creating engaging social content, creating infrastructure for future seasons, and expanding the engaged listener base.

This role is ideal for someone who understands internet culture, has a strong instinct for storytelling, and is excited to increase Hold the Door's impact.

• Internship Duration: May 1 - July 31, with option to extend
• Time/Days Required: ~8h/week
• Workplace Requirements: Attend one 30m-1h virtual check-in call per week, fully remote + flexible schedule
• Stipend: $200 duration

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation
• Assist in creating the season 3 social media strategy, inclusive of post templates
• Edit short-form content for TikTok and Instagram Reels
• Write and edit captions that reflect brand voice and platform best practices
• Post twice a week (minimum) on show accounts

Community Management
• Actively monitor and engage with listeners across platforms (comments, replies, DMs)
• Identify opportunities for real-time engagement, conversation, and cultural moments
• Flag key listener insights, sentiment, and notable conversations to the host
• Support tracking and reporting of content performance (engagement, reach, etc.)

Qualifications
• Excellent communication and writing skills with attention to tone and detail
• Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram
• Experience capturing and editing short-form content
• Responsible, organized, creative, proactive, and eager to contribute
• Strong interest in entertainment and community building, ideally with an interest in the mission of the show
