ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
I. Operation of Show and Event Audio and Production equipment
• Assist with Load-in of band and rental gear, including the lifting/moving of up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
• Interact with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show.
• Utilize daily advance guides, stage-plots, and input lists.
• Ensure set-up is complete & correct on time, system protection is in-place.
• Operate audio systems throughout the entire show /event, including:
• mixing console operations
• interfacing outboard gear
• ensure all equipment is accounted-for at end of shift.
• Ensure proper care and handling of all House of Blues and rental equipment.
• Assist Load-out of band gear, including the lifting/moving of up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
• Follow safe operations procedures during shift.
• Record events of evening in logbook as needed.
II. Assist in production of all events with other staff
• Ensuring background systems are functioning correctly.
• Maintaining appropriate volume levels for events as directed by Production Manager.
• Providing feeds for Press and New Media.
• Ensuring all Special Events audio needs are met.
III. Maintain Inventory of Departmental Needs
• All microphones, speakers, consoles, cables, etc. are maintained and inventoried.
• Tech manuals, warranty records are utilized as needed.
• All supplies are kept at par.
• Rental equipment is properly tracked and returned.
• Repairs and maintenance schedules are followed and logged regularly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF: Audio systems, stage power systems, stage, touring & show productions
ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE OF: Computer system, stage lighting systems, video systems, basic restaurant operations
2. SKILL IN: Communications, audio systems troubleshooting & repair, basic lighting & video systems operations
3. ABILITY TO: Learn quickly; manage multiple acts and schedules simultaneously, be creative
4. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, PROFESSIONAL, ETC.) High School diploma required, College degree or related work experience preferred.
