About the Project
Fugitive Sheriff is a bold new AI-driven Western series. The pilot episode, The Family Star, blends frontier drama, outlaw violence, and federal conflict with cutting-edge generative tools. Using Adobe Firefly for authentic landscapes, Runway for character action, OpenArt for historically accurate costumes and props, and Eleven Labs for natural voice performances, we are pioneering the future of cinematic storytelling. The pilot will premiere on YouTube, with plans to expand into a 10-episode season if well received.
Position: AI Narrative Director
We are seeking an AI Narrative Director to spearhead the adaptation of the Fugitive Sheriff novel into a screen-ready script and oversee the creative direction of AI-generated dialogue and voices. This role is central to ensuring that story, voice, and visuals flow seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
• Script Adaptation
• Translate long-form novel material into episodic, screen-ready scripts.
• Structure narrative flow, pacing, and dialogue true to the director's vision.
• Voice & Dialogue Production
• Direct AI voice models to deliver authentic, expressive character performances.
• Supervise tone, emotion, and delivery to reflect story context.
• Oversee timing, clarity, and consistency across multiple voice tracks.
• Narrative-Visual Synchronization
• Collaborate with the AI Visual Director to align dialogue with animation and lip sync.
• Ensure timing and transitions mirror natural cinematic storytelling.
• Creative Oversight & Collaboration
• Partner with the Producer, AI Visual Director, and Fi Score Composer.
• Uphold narrative and tonal consistency across the pilot episode.
Qualifications
• Strong background in screenwriting, narrative design, or dialogue direction.
• Experience with AI generative tools (scriptwriting models, text-to-speech, or dialogue sync).
• Deep understanding of cinematic storytelling principles (pacing, arcs, scene structure).
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across visual, sound, and editing.
• Creative problem-solving skills with both big-picture and detail orientation.
• Preferred:
• Familiarity with AI video/animation workflows.
• Experience directing human or AI-based voice acting.
• Knowledge of novel-to-screen adaptation challenges.

• Collaborates with: AI Visual Director, AI Editor and Film Score Composer
Salary/Benefits
$22.00
- 28.00
per hour
No benefits, however the production crew will receive additional compensation in the form of residuals from ad and merchandise sales.. This is a 1099 position that will start on Oct. 10, 2025 and end on Dec. 31, 2025. The contract will be extended into 2026 if the 10 episode series gets a green light.
