Position Summary:
The Original Programming (OP) Coordinator provides support to Herzog & Co's Original Programming and Development team and CEO, Mark Herzog in the development and production of a slate of documentary films and series. This position will report directly to the SVP, Original Programming and Development and the CEO.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively manage executive's calendars - setting, re-scheduling and confirming multiple meetings, pitches and conference calls
Manage incoming and outgoing calls, rolling calls, conference calls and VC meetings.
Lead coordination of projects from development through the production pipeline. This includes coordination duties on pitch reels, pitch decks, development shoots, sizzle reels, presentations and pilots. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate the team's schedule with collaborators, lawyers, agencies, and streamer or network executives.
Draft and distribute agendas for team calls when necessary.
Prepare department expense reports for OP team members.
Attend designated meetings and take notes.
Prepare quarterly updates of Bios, Reels, and Credits for the OP Department.
Lead updates on internal development, production slates and annual pitch schedule.
Assist the OP team with the creation and execution of pitch materials, as needed.
Conduct research into potential documentary film, limited series and podcast concepts on a myriad of topics within a tight turnaround.
Maintain trade news updates daily for the OP team, as well as dedicate time to gaining personal knowledge of the competitive landscape specific to documentary film and nonfiction series.
Collaborate with Herzog & Co. Production, Post Production and Graphics Departments on the following:
Organization of OP assets and materials
Create and distribute agendas for kick-off meetings.
Coordinate requests from Executive Producers on specific projects.
Execution and delivery of all ancillary delivery materials, as needed.
Coordinate GRFX Approvals, as needed.
Facilitate Department approvals and signatures for legal paperwork, credits and budgets.
Education and Work Experience:
College degree or 2 years of related entertainment experience.
Experience at the assistant level at an agency or production company.
