Summer Paid Intern - Live Action Family & YA

This is a Full Time Paid Internship

Hello Sunshine is seeking an intern to work with our Live Action Family & YA team this summer. This team focuses on programing of young adult characters for viewers of all ages.

What You Will Do
• Read and write coverage for incoming submissions (heavy focus on YA literature)
• Assist with reviewing creative material on projects in development
• Research creatives for various development projects
• Assist with preparing pitch and packaging materials
• Gain hands on experience building a new department within an established company

What We're Looking For
• Strong interest in YA literature, as well as a familiarity with the YA tv/film landscape
• Ability to read, assess, and write thoughtful, detailed coverage of YA literature
• Smart, driven, confident enough to ask questions, eager to learn
• Excellent communicator with proficient writing and critical thinking skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task

Requirements

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior as a rising junior or senior to participate in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
• This internship is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles, California (3 days in office/ 2 day remote) and requires a working, reliable internet connection and laptop as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
• The approximate dates of this internship are Tuesday, June 3rd - Friday, August 15th
• Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm PT for the duration of the internship, up to 40 hours each week
• Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Los Angeles area
• The pay rate for this internship is $17.81 per hour
